Our Department

In the Aviation Electrical and Electronics Department, training is provided in accordance with the requirements of the European Union standards SHY-66 Aircraft Maintenance Personnel License Regulation and SHY-147 Aircraft Maintenance Training Organizations Regulation.

The Faculty has the authority of SHY-147 Aircraft Maintenance Training Institutions of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Civil Aviation.In addition to theoretical courses, students receive practical training in Avionics, Microprocessors, Computer, Basic Electrical Electronics, Electrical Machines, Communication Systems Laboratories, and SHY-145 approved aircraft maintenance facilities within the Faculty.

Students are admitted to the Department of Aviation Electrical and Electronics by central placement. The English preparatory program is optional. The mandatory internship period is sixty working days. Graduates work in aircraft maintenance, maintenance management, and technical departments of Turkish Airlines, private airline companies, aircraft maintenance centers, and other companies operating in the aviation field. They can also work as electrical/electronic maintenance personnel in other subsystems of aviation such as airports and passenger terminals.
